The data for the sprinklers used are entered in the following dialog box.
The first sprinkler can be entered directly, all others can be created by copying and then modified as required.
Sprinklers, that have been created in excess, can be deleted using the Delete button.

Input values for the sprinklers for calculation:

Length (in m) of the supply pipe that forms a unit with the sprinkler
This is usually the pipe section that leads directly from the last branching point within the pipe network to the sprinkler. (e.g. riser or downpipe at the sprinkler)
This pipe length can also be 0.
The DN value of the pipe is entered under DN value pipe
DN value of the sprinkler under DN value sprinkler, which only appears in the printout and has no influence on the calculation
If the value for length is not equal to 0 and the value for DN value pipe is entered as 0, the following standards automatically apply for the DN value pipe:
For K-factor 57, DN 20 is assumed, otherwise DN 25.
If the value for length and the value for DN value of sprinkler are entered as 0, the following standards automatically apply for the DN value of sprinkler:
For K-factor 57, DN 10 is assumed; for K-factor 80: DN 15; for K-factor 115: DN 20.
Height (in m) of the risers or downpipes at the sprinkler, which forms a unit with the sprinkler
Pipe to the sprinkler upwards, the geodetic height is to be given as a positive value
Pipe downwards, it is to be given as a negative value
Enter the DN connection value of the sprinkler
Enter the DN value for the sprinkler pipe, e.g. rigid angled connector or flex hose connection for the sprinkler
All fittings, which are not included by the K-factor of the sprinkler, has to be set.
The K-factor includes all fittings in which the sprinkler is screwed directly, without a downpipe or riser. E.g. welding sleeve, sprinkler clamp or tee.
Enter the K-factor of the sprinkler types to be used according to the fire hazard class
Enter the value of the water application in mm/min according to the fire hazard class
Enter the value of the sprinkler protection area in (in m²) according to the fire hazard class
Enter the value of the minimum pressure in bar according to the fire hazard class/guideline
Note: Indication whether or not a Lechler nozzle is involved.
If you select a Lechler nozzle, the exponent used in the calculation is 0.4 (instead of 0.5). Please only select this option if this special nozzle is used!
Enter a remark about the sprinkler. This also appears in the report.
