Elbows, if defined in Revit as part type elbow welded, are automatically assigned to the category elbow (from DN65 up). That means in this category you take  f.ex. elbows grooved

Normally, no action is necessary here.


Elbows welded are set automatically by the calculation programme.

Example of a calculation result:



Outlined in purple on the left you see the simple pipe length. 

Here, 1,90m DN150 (length of the pipe) + 1 elbow welded and 1 gate valve are taken into account for the total hydraulic length (marked purple on the right).

These hydraulic lengths were added up and taken from the equivalent length table.


Example:


1,90m+2,00m+1,13m=5,03m
