WinSprink is independent of CAD programs, it is necessary to prepare a sketch in advance in order to be able to properly map the calculation in the program.
Example:

In this example, the pipe types are labeled and numbered in advance for input into WinSprink.
Sprinkler types do not all have to have their own number, only if they differ from the type of sprinkler.
The same type of sprinkler receives the same number.
- Conventions for data input
- The program always assumes that the end point of a pipe points in the direction of the pump, regardless of the actual direction of flow of the water. Only for pipes that lie within a mesh is the position of the start and end point arbitrary, since here the direction towards the pump can no longer be clearly defined.
- The definition of the geodetic height, as used by the program, is as follows:
- If the end point of a pipe is higher than the start point, the geodetic height is to be entered as positive.
- If the end point is lower than the start point, the geodetic height is to be entered as negative.
- The data elements are automatically numbered consecutively within their group in the order in which they are entered. A back reference to an existing data element is only possible via this number.
This definition applies independently of the direction of flow of the water.
