This menu item enables the input of alarm valve, gate valve, butterfly valve and other armatures.

After the command call, the following input options appear in the properties palette.



Each armature receives the properties defined here. 

During the command sequence, the data can be changed at any time.(*)


In the command line appears:


  • U → Undo last action.


Selection of a pipe or branch pipe:

Generally: Depending on which point is closer to the selected point when selecting a pipe, this is the starting point for the symbol input (visible by flexible line at the cursor).

Depending on the selection, one of the two prompts then appears


Equivalent lengths for the wet alarm valve, dry alarm valve, gate valve and non-return valve are stored in tables for the hydraulic calculation.


If the item "Equivalent length from table" is selected, an individual equivalent length can be specified for the selected valve. 

If there are no equivalent lengths for a valve in the equivalent length table, you must enter them directly.

The fitting is created on the pipe with the entered distance from the starting point in the direction of the end point or from the end point in the direction of the starting point.

The following symbols are used in the drawing: 


These symbols are defined in the file "Symbol.cfg" (see also chapter VENTIL parameter block) and can be changed as required.

This makes it easy to expand the armatures.

If the value of the CAD system variable COMMANDPROPERTIES is 0, nothing is displayed in the properties palette. Instead, the properties dialog of a valve (armatures properties dialog) is displayed at the end of the command.
