- The CodeMeter User Runtime must be installed on the client (without network server option).
- The server must be discoverable for the client. There are two possibilities for this
- Automatically: Activate "Automatic server search" in WebAdmin on the client under "Settings 🡪 Basic 🡪 Server search list".
- Here, a UDP broadcast is used to find license servers.
- Only works within a subnet
- Manually: Enter the network name or IP address of the license server in WebAdmin on the client under "Settings -> Basic -> Server search list".
- IP addresses work more reliable if the client is located in another subnet (e.g. VPN access)
- Qualify server names completely if possible
- The functionality can be checked in the WebAdmin on the client:
- After setting the server search list, clicking the double arrow button at the very bottom left of "Current Server" will list the license server.
- If the server is listed, then licenses can also be found from there.
