The parameter file "SPRINK.CFG" offers the possibility to control colours, layer names, presentation of results etc. externally.

The parameter file is read every time the application is loaded.

Changes in the parameter file made after loading the sprinkler application must be detected by the

sprinkler program before they take effect.

Note: In version 5 this file is called "sprinkintl.cfg".

It can be found in the following path:

C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\IDAT GmbH\SpriCalc\Acad\AcadXXXX_64

For this purpose, there is a menu item Read parameter file in the General tab.

After executing this function, the new values set in the parameter file are effective.

The file contains the following types of entries:

  • Lines which begin with a semicolon, i.e. with ";", contain only comments, i.e. explanations of the following lines;
  • lines beginning with a square bracket, i.e. with "[", contain block identifiers and must not be changed;
  • all other lines start with a name (the identifier of the corresponding parameter which must not be changed), followed by an equals sign; this is followed by the value of the corresponding parameter, i.e. the value which can be changed.

Parameters can be Boolean values (Yes=T or No=F), integers, rational numbers or texts.

The following sections describe the parameters of the individual blocks of the parameter file.
